Theater instructor invites community input & participation in new production
October 19, 2023
Can you see yourself on stage? Do you prefer to be behind the scenes? A theater production is planned for this spring semester at Jackson College, and Sara Anne Tomczak is inviting students and community members to get involved!
“I hope to see this bring not only students, but the community out to get involved for this first show,” said Tomczak, theater instructor who began teaching a year ago at JC. Tomczak brings years of experience as an actor herself and is excited about bringing student productions to life again on the Potter Center stage. “I’m thrilled. I cannot wait. It is exciting for me, with being new to living in Jackson, to get to know the community more.”
A stage production offers many options to get involved, from performing onstage to working behind the scenes in roles such as:
- Acting
- Costume/Hair/Makeup
- Set Design/Painting/Prop Design
- Lighting Design
- Sound/Music Design
- Stage Manager
- Assistant Director
- Enjoy from the Audience
Come on board and let your creativity shine! An online form is available for anyone interested in participating.
